2. Accounts Data product
In the same way Company Basic information is provided in downloadable ZIP files from Companies House, the accounts data is free and can also be downloaded in this format and also other more machine-readable options for digital transformation purposes. The data type is IxBRL or line eXtensible Business Reporting Language and XBRL. It is only available for those documents are filed electronically, which constitutes around 75% of the 2.2 million active records from a total population of 5.6million companies.
The data is available daily from the site and comes each morning between Tuesday and Saturday and on Tuesdays there is a 3 day roll up file for the missed days of the weekend.
People/Persons with significant control (PSC) data product.
The PSC reports are provided in Javascript Object Notation (.JSON) and it’s is a great way to receive the data as its machine readable and programming language independent.
Uniform resource identifiers (URI)
The free URI service offers unfettered access to basic company details using the simple uniform resource identifier (URI) methodology for each company on our register.
If you wanted to research a single company then it would be possible to get what you need by using unique addresses for different parts of the data, as follows:

The data is displayed by any standard leading browser and is displayed as a web page.
